Our Baby Boy is finally here!

I guess you can now say our lives will never be the same. Kason Tage Clifford is finally here! And we could not be happier! He sure has changed our lives already, and it is definitely for the better! We love him sooo much!

Here's a little recap of the day he was born, (mainly I am writing this so we can always have this to look back on, cause I know we'll forget ha) Kason was born early Thursday morning, March 28th (my exact due date) at 3:19am weighing 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 20 inches. We had our scheduled doctors appointment on Wednesday the 27th. Tage was able to get work off early to go with me. We had a whole speech lined up to tell the doctor to try and convince him to induce me because we were sooo ready for Kason to come! With the new law, you can't be electively induced on your first baby until you are 41 weeks. So we were prepared to tell the doctor anything to get him to induce me if he could, because I just could not go another week. But right when we went in, they took my blood pressure and it was a little high. So right when the doc came in he said, "well guys, I think it's time we throw the towel in and have this baby." I looked at Tage and was like "Alrighty!" So then he did the ultrasound and checked to make sure the babe looked good, and then said ok I will go check with the hospital and see when we can get you guys up there. Then he came back and said, "Alright guys, at 8pm tonight head up to the hospital to check in." This is exactly what we wanted to hear, but then I started to freak out a little bit. I couldn't believe we were having this baby tonight! We then headed home to get our bags ready and then headed straight to the hospital. At about 9pm the doctor came and broke my water. I hadn't been feeling any pain yet, so I hadn't asked for the epidural. But oh man, it hit me fast! Ha. I felt like a baby, but I finally asked the nurse when the soonest is that I could get an epidural, and she said whenever you want. So I kind of laughed and said, ok, how about now?! Once the epidural came, I was in heaven. Couldn't feel a thing, just the way I like it :) After a few hours, the nurse came in to check me and I was dilated to a 5, she then came back an hour later and I was at a 9.5, so it all happened pretty quick. We had a few scares though with Kason's heart rate. It dropped very very low, and they were really worried about him, so they needed to get him out fast. This scared us pretty bad for a little bit, but everything ended up working out ok. At this point my epidural started to ware off, so I began of course to freak out slightly. I immediately asked if I could get re dosed up or something because I kept pressing that button for more juice to hit me, and I was getting nothing! The nurse was trying to convince me to not so that I could feel a bit to push, but I was like heck no! So I got re dosed and then I immediately started pressing the button every minute I could so that it would kick in before this baby came. I think I pushed it a little too many times, because my hands started going numb, and I was talking very slow. But at this point, no one cared because Kason was coming!The beauty is that I didn't feel a thing, but after Kason came, I got way sick, I think from taking too much of the epidural haha. But all in all I guess it was worth it, but I learned my lesson for the next baby :) Kason came out really fast, I only pushed about 4 times and he was here, the doctor had to help get him out fast though because of his heart rate. It was the greatest feeling seeing Kason for the first time, we couldn't believe he was finally here and was ours! We are sooo blessed to have him in our lives. He brings us joy and happiness every single day, even if it's at 3 in the morning :) I've only been away from him for a few hours, but when I am, I actually miss him, it's crazy. We are just a little obsessed with our lil' stud muffin! We love you so much Kason and couldn't be happier that you are finally here with us!

Well I am less than 3 weeks away to the due date! It is crazzy! I have started dilating and my doctor thinks I will go early. So I guess it could be anytime now. Which is SO exciting, but also freaks me out! I am soo nervous I am going to go into labor while I am teaching haha. I know the odds of that happening are slim to none, but still, makes me very nervous. But that would be a good story! Ha. We are so excited for our little guy to come into the world and be a part of our family. We almost have everything we need, and then I guess it's just playing the waiting game.

My parents are coming out in about 1.5 weeks, we can not wait! My mom is going to work her magic and paint the baby room. I am supposed to help, but I am nervous I will screw it up, so I will probably "fake" that I am helping and let her work her magic ha.

We finally moved into our house! And we LOVE IT!! It has been soo much fun! We don't know what to do with all of the space. We are also waiting to decorate to have my mom help us. She will make it look amazing.

My sister through me a baby shower for my side of the family and friends and Tage's Aunt through me another shower for his side of the family about month ago. It was so fun to see all of my friends and family! Everybody spoiled us and our little man so much! I am so grateful to have such great people in our lives!

This is just how I have felt the past few weeks with the hubby! His snoring is getting out of control. We need to get his nosed fixed ASAP!

Over the Holidays!

We had such a great Holiday season! It is my favorite time of the year! I always get depressed when they are all over, but this year we have so much more to look forward too :)

For Thanksgiving we went to California and had Turkey Day at Garrett and Christina's. My parents and Blake came down too. We had such a great time! It was perfect weather there! It was a nice little vaca for us!

For Christmas break, we all went to Heidi and Ben's again. Everyone made it down this year except for Chad and Robyn, they had the new baby. It was so much fun as it always is! When everyone lives far apart, it makes you appreciate your time together. We had soo many great laughs and did so many fun things! My brothers and Dad took Tage snowboarding for his first time up at Brighton. I guess he did pretty well! He did a trial run on Christmas day down a sledding hill ha. He was a little sore after Brighton, but said he had fun! He thinks he may stick to skiing tho. Heidi and Ben were able to bless Oaklie, which was awesome that we could all be there! She is by far the best baby ever! NEVER ever cries! She just sits in her swing and smiles at everyone. I pray our baby boy is 1/2 as good as she is. It was so fun seeing all of the kiddos too! They all get a long so well. Hopefully our baby boy will fit right in :)

Best parents and Grandparents ever!

Our house is almost done! We can not wait! We should be in it end of January. I don't think we are going to know what to do with each other not being hip to hip ha.

Our baby boy is growing and growing and healthy as can be :) We can not wait for him to be here! I have 11 weeks to go. It is crazy how fast it is going by! I am feeling good, I am not as tired as I have been so that is a plus! I am starting to bust out of clothes, my butt crack hangs out of everything haha. So when my Mom was here we went and got some maternity clothes...so hopefully I am good to go now. I am at the point where I have to go to the doctors every 2 weeks now. Which I love! Because then we get to see our little guy more and more :)

Well that is just a little update! Our holidays were great, I hope all of you had a GREAT holiday break as well and are having a great start to the New Year!

It's been far too long...

WOW it has been a very long time since I have updated our blog. We have just been super busy and boy, does time fly by! I don't even know where to start...

Well, the big news is...we are preggers! I am exactly half way (20 weeks) this week. Everything is going really well so far! The only complaint I have is that this baby is an ENERGY SUCKER!! I am seriously tired all the time. My bedtime is 7:30pm every night, no joke. You are probably wondering the gender, well we "think" it is a boy. The reason I say "think" is because we were told at our appointment it was a girl. Then at our last appointment it was switched to a boy. The doctor said he is 100% sure it is a boy this time. So he must of just been a late bloomer haha. Tage is definitley getting made fun of on this one. Needless to say, we are excited either way! I had to exchange all the girl clothes I bought for boy ones, which was kinda depressing. But luckily I found some cute ones. We are due March 30th. I can't believe how fast time is going by! That date will be here before we know it!

Some other exciting news is we are building a house! It should be done the end of Decemeber. We can not wait!! We will be living in West Point, which is right next to Syracuse. It will be a very nice Christmas present for us :)

I finished up my soccer season about a month ago. It was so fun and exciting! The girls ended up making HISTORY! We took 2nd in Region, and made it to the 2nd round in state. We finished in the top 8 in state. It was such a fun year!

 I almost forgot some other BIG news...Tage passed is Series 7 test about a month ago!!! I am so proud of him! He has worked his butt off studying for that test, and it all paid off! He has been loving work too!

I am sure I am forgetting a lot of other stuff since it has been so long, but I will try not to wait so long to update next time. I can not wait for Holidays coming up! Well, til next time....

June Fun!

So far our Summer has been really fun! At the beginning of June I started conditioning with my High school girls for soccer. It has been going really well. I have been doing it with them, so it has been nice cause it forces me to get into shape ha. Tage finally got his start date at Fidelity, July 23rd. We are really excited! At the beginning of June, I also played in a 6v6 tournament up in Logan with a bunch of my friends. It was so much fun to play again with all of them! We ended up winning the whole thing too. It was fun!

My parents came to visit and we had so much fun! While they were here my mom painted Heidi's new baby room. It is AMAZING! She painted Ollie's jungle theme when he was born. I wish soo bad I had just an ounce of her talent. It makes me want to get pregnant so that she can work on my baby room ;) haha jk. I am really working on the parentals to move down here. I think they are getting more serious, or they just tell me that so I will shut up about it. Either way, I won't stop until they get here! ha. 

I play in a soccer league and we needed a boy sub, so since Tage was there watching me, they asked if he could play. I was like, "uhh..." But he played, and it was so funny and fun! He rolled his basketball shorts up so they looked like soccer shorts and played in his tennies. And he was actually GOOD! He had a lot of fun too. And my teammates were so impressed with him they asked if he wanted to keep subbing for us. Tage was excited and decided he needed some soccer shoes, so since he is big foot, we were able to get some nice Nike Vapors for only $20 at Ross! It was awesome. It has been a blast playing with him :)

Tage and I celebrated our 1st anniversary! I can't believe it has been a year! I guess time flies when your having fun! We have had so much fun together! It's a good thing when you marry your best friend :)

Cali Trip :)

We had SO much fun visiting Garrett and his family in Cali over memorial weekend! It was so fun all being together! They took us to San Fransisco for a day and we had a blast! Tage had never been there before, so it was really fun for him to see. Christina taught me a few crafty tricks and we made the cutest chalk board! I love it. I tried to learn a lot of her tricks over the weekend, we'll see if I can remember them ;)  It was such a fun vaca and we miss them already!
